RELEASE TYPE
 
Release Type is the same type as previous Super Sound Blow Off Valve DD that release the reverse pressure to the atmosphere when the throttle valve is closed.
By employing newly designed "Venturi Funnel", dynamic release sound throughout the Blitz BOV series is achieved to enhance the driving experience.
With Aluminum die-cast and multiple ribs, heat dissipation performance is improved. This protects the BOV body from heated compressed air.
With separately available "Recirculation Flange", Venturi-funnel can be replaced with Recirculation Flange. This enable that released pressure can be returned to the intake pipe as same as "Recirculated Type", or factory stock air recirculation valve.
 
A:VENTURI FUNNEL
Creates sharp sound by adopting the Venturi effect, which narrows a part of aperture section and wider once again. This will also increase airflow speed.
 
B:DUAL DRIVE
The Dual Drive provides a reliable high response by independently controlling function of piston and valve.
 
C:PISTON
Adoption of Defric Coating which often used in satellite field.
 
D:BODY
Employs high quality aluminum die-cast for entire body. Ensured heat dissipation by designing the body and funnel with ribs.
 
E:VALVE
Employs a light weight, 36mm diameter big valve made out aluminum alloy.?Ensured an outstanding sealing characteristic at high boost by combining with special rubber.
 
RECIRCULATED TYPE
 

Recirculated Type returns the reverse pressure to the intake pipe when the throttle valve is closed, as same as factory stock air recirculation valve.
Unlike factory air recirculation valve, BOV VD can handle high boost pressure, and the spring rate is adjustable, and has quicker response. Dynamic look enhances the racing look of the engine bay.
Recirculaton Flange screwed-in design can be replace easily from Venturi Funnel at no tool required.
Some application cannot be used as "Recirculated Type". Please check application sheet for availability.

WHAT DOES BLOW OFF VALVE VD DO?
 
The Blow Off Valve is essential to all turbocharged vehicles. The purposes of BLITZ Blow Off Valve VD is to relieve compressor surge without reducing compressor speed. It controls boost pressure that is built up by the turbo and vents it into the atmosphere (some are recirculate) when the car is not under load (in between shifts). This prevents pressure from backing up into the compressor housing, causing the turbo impeller blade to rapidly stop or even worse, to spin backwards (compressor surge or backspin). Doing so can be potentially destructive to the turbine wheel and shaft. Repeated stress over time can cause eminent damage to the turbo charger and eventually lead to turbo failure. A Blow Off Valve is actuated by pressure changes only, ensuring quick valve responses and complete closures at idle. The BLITZ Blow Off Valve not only improves performance and response, but also increases the life of the turbocharger.
